This work suggests a dictator's behaviour and his role towards society. The dictator takes the form of a platypus, a very double-sided beast being classified as a mammal as well as an egg-layer (a cloaca animal). This double-sidedness, not in such a quite literal way between mammal and reptilian but more as a connotation of the word double-sidedness, can be found in a dictator's behaviour, and throughout politics. This behaviour is also clarified by the flower motif, which is nearly completely concealing the 'true story' of the painting, a story which is lost by a flower veil of 'beauty'.
