Bio

Yasmine Geerts was born during the cold winter month of February in 1991. As she grew up as an only child she experienced a lonely childhood and therefore found it hard getting along with others. This feeling of loneliness, disconnection with others, or rather alienation is still clearly visible in her artwork. Out of this feelings she simply began drawing and painting her own world. Thus clearly from a young age Yasmine started to take an interest in arts and began dreaming of becoming an artist. To accomplish this dream she intended to follow 'the path of the artist', and started her studies at the Academy for Visual Arts in 2006. Later on she went to Ghent and entered LUCA School of Arts. With success she obtained a master in Arts in 2015.
